The Water Tower is tucked away nestled among redwood trees a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. This is a place to disconnect and reconnect with nature and your surroundings. To unplug and decompress from busy life. The Water Tower is located about 5 miles from our town of Elk and is a beautiful 14-mile coastal drive to the historic village of Mendocino.

The Water Tower is fenced off with a dedicated outdoor area that is for your private use.

Amenities

There is a small kitchen with a single gas stove, a small toaster oven with pan, pot to boil, cutting board including pour-over coffee and some coffee to enjoy, teas, and basic utensils in the kitchen. It’s set up for light cooking.

Important Consideration

The queen bed is located in the second-floor loft space.
Steps to this space are more like ladder (very steep) stairs and may be a problem for some individuals.
Just remember to go up and down-facing them... like a ladder.

*There is no wifi or cell services. In case of an emergency, we have a phone for you to use.

Forest Camping Hut

The Camping Hut is located in the middle of the forest and is designed to provide guests with a rustic, yet comfortable experience. There is a plush queen-size bed with soft beddings. Propane heat to keep things nice and warm. For a unique bathing experience there is also a private outdoor bathtub with rain-shower, as well as a modern composting toilet.

Our Little Town
Elk, CA

Is very small, but beautiful. A great place for a hike down to the beach or along the coastline. Stop by the Elk Store for a wonderful sandwich or a variety of snacks, wine, or cheese :) Queenie’s Roadhouse offers a great option for breakfast or lunch. A nicely curated store Matson Mercantile and don’t forget to check out our Elk Museum :)

Location

The closest airport offering regularly scheduled service is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS). It’s located in Santa Rosa about an hour’s drive (55 miles) from Ukiah and a two hour drive from the Village of Mendocino. Car rental from the airport is available.

International travelers to Mendocino County can fly in to San Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento International Airports, each of which are located about 2-3 hours from the county, depending on your destination.
